A Question of Doubles

This morning I decided to catalog a few doubles on TCDB. One such set was 2018 Bowman Draft, which I came into a bunch of from the last collection I bought. Some popular names came in multiples. This is always good for trading with PC collectors and people missing those guys from their sets.

Of course, this prompted another observation...

Before logging these doubles, I had more Derek Jeter doubles (29) in the 3,000-ish cards I had logged. This is mainly from the plethora of Jeter RC's that I own. After logging these, Jeter is now tied with Ke'Bryan Hayes (the son of his former teammate during the 96 World Series) at 29 each.

Apparently, I have a lot of Hayes doubles--RC's, pre-RC, etc.

It's interesting to watch how the tides of card numbers flow with the doubles...  No Mattingly here though. He gets his own list.

  1. Doubles are an important part of our collections, Never throw them away, especially the Tigers cards.
